Nicola Wiebkin

Junior Production Manager

Nicola began her broadcasting career in 2000 with a six year stint at the BBC. Whilst there she worked mainly in Rights & Contracts for BBC Sport across radio, TV and online. She was involved in many high-profile events, including the first ever Sport Relief, the 50th Sports Personality of the Year and the Manchester Commonwealth Games to name but a few.

In 2006 she was offered the chance to move into production within the Independent sector and decided it was an opportunity she couldn’t refuse!

Since then she has been fortunate to work across a variety of programmes and genres for different broadcasters, including large studio entertainment shows such as – “Friday Night with Jonathan Ross” (BBC1), “The Paul O’Grady Show” (Channel 4), “Paul O’Grady Live” (ITV1) BGMT (ITV2) and “Breakaway” (BBC2), as well as hidden camera magic and multiple location shoots both in the UK and abroad. In 2013 Nicola joined ITV working largely in entertainment, a highlight of which was “Gary Barlow Journey to Afghanistan” which involved working closely with the Ministry of Defence for a one-off Christmas special. Other credits include “Text Santa” (ITV1) “Ball & Boe” (ITV1), Autopsy: The Last Hours of (C5 & Reelz for the US), and the BAFTA award winning “Bear Grylls Survival School” (CiTV).

When Nicola escapes the office she loves going to the theatre and playing the piano to unwind!
